Had a recent Skype conversation with a potential customer and he was showing me his design for a project he wants to do which has a book and a slip case. Cool design! I am now trying to figure the best way to produce it for him.
This blog is about designing cover art for custom comic book bookbinding projects.
A little history.
I have been blogging about comic book bookbinding since early 2006. At first I only talked about Capitol Bindery and showed examples of their finished books. In January of 2008 my subject matter expanded to include glue bound books created by a bindery called Snow Dog. Snow Dog Bindery has since been replaced by Guardian Bindery. Then in June 2010 I added Bindery 59 to my list of subjects showing examples of their low cost products.
In early 2011 a partnership was formed by the three binderies under the umbrella name of Single Bound Studios. It was decided to limit the SBS blog to showing examples of finished books from the three binderies, so that is why I have this new blog to talk about designing cover art for custom comic book bookbinding projects.
