Unretiring
Sort of. I went back to work (January 3, 2012)at my old company as a consultant. The main reason is my bindery business (Single Bound Studios) needs several new pieces of equipment to compete more effectively. Since I’d rather not go into debt or tap my retirement savings I will use the money made from consulting to purchase the new items. My going back to work won’t affect how fast books get...

What am I working on this week?
I am working on recreating covers for 18 books. A single customer sent in the 18 books with the covers already designed but they were not built to the correct resolution. The designs are great so it has been fun rebuilding them.  It has also been a bit frustrating because I have other bindery duties to perform so I don’t get to work on the covers for more than a couple of hours at a time. Why no updates?
There are currently 28 books for three different customers in house in various states of design production. I will be posting images of both designs and finished books as the things progress.

Vegas
Made the trip to Vegas yesterday to consult with the person who helps me with production of cover designs for art-on-cover projects, soft cover volumes and dust jackets. The work Sonny does allows me to turn work quicker! Take a bow Sonny! I’ll be back to Omaha on Monday.
